Six Endorsed Lodges on Andros, Grand Bahama Island, Abaco and Crooked Island

NASSAU, The Bahamas – March 3, 2010 – As part of The Islands Of The Bahamas ongoing partnership with The Orvis Company – a leading sporting lifestyle brand – there are now six bonefishing lodges in the islands stamped with the official Orvis endorsement. There only 76 Orvis-endorsed fly fishing lodges in the world, representing the best each destination has to offer. While each endorsed property has its own character, they share the same high standards of service, world class fishing and experienced staff members. These standards of excellence are continually reviewed by the Orvis staff and evaluated by visiting guests in post-visit critiques sent directly to Orvis.

"We are proud of our more than four year partnership with The Bahamas, which reflects our dedication to the destination and the conservation of its fisheries,” said Dave Parker, Orvis Travel managing director, The Orvis Company. “The Bahamas have some of the most bountiful bonefishing flats in the world, and it’s a pleasure to share that knowledge with our customers.”

The following is a list of Orvis Endorsed Lodges throughout The Islands Of The Bahamas:
