In each of those island groups, you can base yourself in one place and then do day hops by boat to sample the other islands (for example, basing in Marsh Harbour and doing day trips to Hope Town and Great Guana) or pack up and move hotels to get a more complete picture of the other islands (as in starting your week at a hotel on Eleuthera and then ferrying over to Harbour Island for the balance of your trip).
