Business Many celebrities have chosen The Bahamas as their "home away from home," and the trend that has grown over the years is one that is expected to hold steady according to President of The Bahamas Real Estate Association Patricia Birch.
Birch told Guardian Business yesterday that the advantages the country has over others is its proximity to the United States, where most of the high profile athletes, actors, and music artists reside. The amount of amenities that are available to celebrities also make The Bahamas a more desirable destination.
"We are right next to the U.S. and it's a very relaxed atmosphere," Birch said. "We have fantastic weather, great properties, and many things to do, but it all depends on the celebrity... New U.S. Passport Regulations
As of January 23, 2007 all U.S. citizens are required to carry valid U.S. passports when traveling to and from The Bahamas.
