Located on the beautiful island of San Salvador, the first landfall of Christopher Columbus to the New World and just minutes from the island’s port of entry, is Riding Rock Resort and Marina. Overlooking the breath-taking view of blue crystalline waters and washed by the cool breezes, the hotel has become a favorite for scuba divers, sportsfishing boaters, and island enthusiasts that are seeking a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
Quiet and unspoiled, there are miles of deserted beachs and lush underwater reefs and the Riding Rock Resort and Marina continues to host dive groups and clubs to the legendary quality and diversity of diving in San Salvador. Shark lovers will be pleased to know that the island’s waters are home to many shark species. A full service SSI and PADI dive center is located in the marina complex and is complete with air compressors, guest gear storage, training facilities and conference room. The property’s full service marina is comprised of 25 slips and offers all the amenities expected including deep water dockage. With advance notice, boats of up to 140 feet may be accommodated. Anglers will find the waters teeming with world-record Blue Marlins, Wahoo, Dolphin, Kingfish, and Tuna. Half and full day deep sea fishing charters are available on our 28 foot boat.
Family owned and operated since the 1960s, the resort is dedicated to the comfort and convenience of water sports enthusiasts and offers two room categories. Twelve standard rooms overlook the pool and twenty deluxe oceanfront rooms feature spectacular views or the Caribbean Sea. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature cable television and a porch or balcony with outside drying hooks. Our restaurant specializes in Bahamian and American cuisine while our lounge, The Driftwood Bar, provides a variety of drinks – join us at our complimentary cocktail parties!
